Engineer Access

In some cases, an engineer will need access to your property to install your broadband. If this is the case, your group will be provided with a specific date and time window for the appointment. Please ensure someone is present throughout this time to grant access to the engineer.

Missed Appointments

Please be aware that missed engineer appointments may be subject to a charge.

Broadband Provider Variations

The installation process may vary slightly depending on your broadband provider. See the information below for specific details:

Pine Media:

  • If you're receiving a Pine Media router by post, an engineer visit won't be necessary. However, someone will need to be at the property to sign for the delivery via DPD or DX.

  • You'll receive confirmation of the delivery date and expected activation date by email. We'll inform you in advance if an engineer visit is required.

Virgin Media:

  • If you're receiving a Virgin Media QuickStart kit by post, an engineer visit won't be required. However, someone will need to be present to sign for the Yodel delivery.

  • You'll receive the specific delivery date by email. The lead tenant on the utilities account should also receive a text message from Yodel on the morning of the delivery with a more precise timeframe.

BT:

  • If you're receiving a BT router with easy setup instructions by post, an engineer visit won't be necessary. You'll receive a notification with the delivery date and time, with the option to reschedule if needed. Routers delivered this way will typically come through your letterbox.

  • We'll inform you in advance if an engineer visit is required to install a new line in the property. Someone from your group will need to be at home to grant access during the scheduled appointment.
